Crafted in genuine 12oz Japanese Sashiko cotton, The Parka is a supremely comfortable and versatile hooded 3/4 length coat. It closes with natural corozo nut buttons and offers a thick drawstring to cinch the waist. This Army Green colorway is that perfect olive tone that you see on vintage military jackets.

Its shape is slightly relaxed to allow for easy layering underneath, so you can order your typical chest size. Each piece is made in Los Angeles from start to finish.

The parka is an unlined casual jacket that's wearable throughout the Fall and Spring. Four buttoned flap pockets and two interior pockets provide plenty of storage. A comfortable hood is crafted with doubled fabric facing, giving it a great drape when its down and a sturdy weight when its worn. The body is crafted with raglan sleeves (no shoulder seams), allowing it to run smoothly across your back. Heavyweight lap seams run down each sleeve and the sides of the coat to reinforce it at all crucial stress points. The sleeves close with a functional single cuff, and can be unbuttoned and pushed up your forearms. The natural corozo nut are dyed a gorgeous brandy tone. It is fully machine washable and extremely durable.

12oz 100% Cotton Japanese Sashiko Pique

Also known as our classic pure cotton Sashiko cloth is woven in Japan for use in martial arts uniforms. Known as Dogi (cloth of the way), this fabric has a thick pique weave with well-defined "rice gain" structure. This technique offers three benefits: it allows natural stretch and flexing with movement, it absorbs moisture and stays away from your skin and it gains exceptional tensile strength.. far above a comparable twill weave. Given the large texture of the weave, you can expect a particularly nice patina with wear. Each parka begins as a stiff white garment, and its color is achieved with a reactive dye process.
