Made in South Central Los Angeles
We sourced a gorgeous arctic white 9oz 95% cotton & 5% lycra PFD (prepare-for-dye) corduroy from Japan's Kurabo Mills. Its weight is on par with our typical canvas chinos, and it's wearable throughout the year.
The finished white garments are then plunged into a reactive dye bath at our dyehouse in South Central Los Angeles. They're all combined into a single batch, so the color is consistent and matching across all pieces. The resulting garments are soft, colorfast, preshrunk, and exceptionally vibrant in tone! The small degree of stretch makes this piece extremely comfortable. The color is a gorgeous muted pastel pink.
Please note: these garments are pre-shrunk. Following the dye process, they are about 1.5" shorter in the body length and 1" shorter in the sleeve than usual. If you find that our stock Doyle jackets run a bit long, then this will be perfect for you! If you're taller, then you might find these to be too cropped.
The Doyle is our loving homage to the classic French work jacket. Starting with the minimal and utilitarian shape of the original garment, we upgraded the fit, construction, and fabric to create a versatile piece that can be worn as an all-day smart casual garment.
Two open patch pockets sit at the hip. They're doubled against the body, allowing your hands to use them both from the side and from the top. Hidden brass rivets and heavy stitched bar tacks sit at the corners to reinforce them against heavy use. A single exterior pocket and a long interior pocket sit on either sides of the chest.
The sleeves close with a functional single cuff, and can be unbuttoned and pushed up your forearms. The rear is single vented and the soft top point collar cuts a rakish profile whether open or closed. The buttons are natural corozo nut, dyed a gorgeous brandy tone.
This Doyle matches brilliantly to chinos, denim, and trousers. It's easy to care for, effortless to wear, and unmatched in its ratio of quality to price.
