Made in South Central Los Angeles
Woven in Scotland by Reid & Taylor, this heavyweight wool tweed has incredible texture and a perfect, versatile color mix. Individual yarns of steel blue, dark smoke, heather grey, and ecru mix together into a handsome melange that matches literally everything in your wardrobe. The ecru yarns flow vertically down the jacket, adding a very subtle striping effect. This gorgeous piece looks like nothing else out there!
Weighing in at 15oz, this fabric splits the difference between a heavy sportcoat and a light overcoat. It will stand up admirably to wind and cold on its own, but can also be easily layered underneath a larger jacket. We produced only 14 pieces for the season, so don't miss out on this exceptional Doyle!
The Doyle is our loving homage to the classic French work jacket. Starting with the minimal and utilitarian shape of the original garment, we upgraded the fit, construction, and fabric to create a versatile piece that can be worn as an all-day smart casual garment.
Two open patch pockets sit at the hip. They're doubled against the body, allowing your hands to use them both from the side and from the top. Hidden brass rivets and heavy stitched bar tacks sit at the corners to reinforce them against heavy use. A single exterior pocket and a long interior pocket sit on either sides of the chest.
The sleeves close with a functional single cuff, and can be unbuttoned and pushed up your forearms. The rear is single vented and the soft top point collar cuts a rakish profile whether open or closed. The buttons are natural corozo nut, dyed a gorgeous brandy tone.
This Doyle matches brilliantly to chinos, denim, and trousers. It's easy to care for, effortless to wear, and unmatched in its ratio of quality to price.
Made in Los Angeles
Each Doyle is made by a handful of skilled operators at our Downtown Los Angeles facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, and their proficiency is evident in the clean finishing and consistent stitching on each garment. These are among the finest and most meticulously made garments in the United States.
