Garand Jean Project: Selvedge Denim & Flecked Denim

This is a pre-order project with delivery slated for mid-to-end January. All sizes are available to order, and sales are final. 

After the success of last Season's Hertling project, we realized... we need to make a selvedge garment here in Los Angeles. May we present the new (and improved!) Garand Jean. 

The Garand has our traditional WWII field trouser silhouette. We've updated the fit to be in line with the Wilhelm... meaning an athletic cut that offers a tailored fit on those with bigger thighs or a slightly relaxed fit for those with slimmer legs. So whether you wear the Rivet, Wilhelm, Walt, or Rudy... this will be a great fit on you. 

For this launch project, we're offering four selvedge denims and two standard denims. There are some greatest hits from last season (Gunmetal & Cotton-Hemp), some new Ultrafleck options, and an absolutely stunning two-color Rainbow Selvedge. Garand Jean

Inspired by the soft construction of military uniform trousers, the Garand has an unlined, folded-over waistband. This gives it a comfortable, contoured fit and a cool vintage look. Its other features include a button-through closure, metal zip fly, double besom coin pocket, and rear welt pockets. The inseams are unfinished at 36".

If you are familiar with our chinos, the we recommend ordering your typical size. The Garand fits on par with our Wilhelm chinos, so it provides a fitted look for guys with bigger legs, and a slightly relaxed look for guys with slimmer legs. 

Hemming Service

The Garand Jean comes with a 36" finished inseam by default. You can opt to have it hemmed shorter for a $15 upcharge. As these denims will lose between a half inch and a full inch with the first wash, we will cold wash and hang dry any jeans before hemming. That way, most of the length shrinkage is removed before the hem is done. 

Jeans ordered with the standard 36" inseam will not be washed. We advise you to wash them on your own prior to hemming them yourself. This single wash will not affect the jean's long term potential to fade. Just be sure to wear them a lot and wash them infrequently. 

Measurements & Sizing

All measurements below are taken with the pants laid flat. Waist is measured across the top of the rear waistband and doubled. Thigh is measured from the base of the crotch across the leg. Rise is measured from the lowest point of the crotch to the top of the front waistband. Inseam is measured from the base of the crotch to the leg opening. Leg opening is measured across the bottom cuff.
