Denim Button Down "DCBD" Shirt Project

This shirt is the best of both worlds. A versatile and comfortable design that melds two different approaches to an everyday shirt:

From the East Coast, we took the classic "OCBD" - an Ivy League buttondown oxford that's a crucial piece in any wardrobe. 

From the West Coast: we took gorgeous four-season denim, rugged chainstitch side seams and double-needle reinforcement. 

The end result is our new "DCBD" (Denim Cloth Buttondown).It combines all of these elements into a supremely wearable wardrobe staple. 

The DCBD Is crafted from start to finish in Los Angeles. It features a traditional button-down collar with an elegant roll. The rear yoke is double stitched and a the back has a locker loop and a rear collar button. 

The side seams are chainstitched and gussetted... and the hems have a genuine chainstitch runoff thread (you can cut this off if you like).

Five gorgeous fabrics are available. Check out the video above to learn more about them. Each one of them is wearable year-round and easily machine washable. Please note that the Indigo denim, Dark Sapphire, & Charcoal denim will be made with matching thread and dark brown buttons... like the photo sample. The blue & dusty rose Chambray will be made with white contrast stitching and white buttons. 

The fit is on par with our Epaulet outerwear. It's tailored but not tight, and it works well for an athletic build. It's true to size. 

The DBCD shape speaks well to our Doyle jackets. If you take a 40 in our Doyle jacket, then get a Large in this shirt. If you take a 38 Doyle, then get a Medium. And so on...\
