Donegal Geelong Wool Sweater Balance Payment

Epaulet x William Lockie

Please note: This is the balance payment for our Donegal Sweater Project. We can ship your sweater out immediately after this balance is paid.

The venerable William Lockie & Co. of Scotland. has hand-crafted some of the finest sweaters on the world since their start in 1874. Their factory sits in Hawick, the traditional home of Scottish knitwear. The shape on offer is a minimal crewneck that's versatile, and effortless to wear on a cool day. But the yarn is anything but basic.

These gorgeous marled donegal yarns are unlike anything we've seen. The surfaces are marled and flecked with a complexity that sets it apart from the pack. Woven in Scotland and sourced from the Australian Geelong Sheep, its long fibers are strong, soft, and very warm. In Scotland, it's considered a step in quality above merino - the kind of yarn that imparts a true "heirloom" level of luxury. Four absolutely brilliant colors are available:

1) Blue Smoke with flecks of Magenta, Cyan, & Tangerine

2) Heather Grey with flecks of Scarlet, Sky, and Chalk

3) Wine with flecks of Pink, Cherry, and Grey

4) Onyx with flecks of Ecru

These beautiful pieces offer a mid-weight layer against the cold. They're easily worn under jackets or sportcoats, but stand up well against the wind by themselves. The fit is slim and modern.. and please scroll down for precise sizing advice. These sweaters will only be available via this preorder project, so don't miss out! Order with a deposit today and the balance will be due when the sweaters arrive in October. These will blow your mind when you see them in person.. we promise! Orders close August 16th.

Measurements & Fit
All measurements are shown in inches. Chest is measured laid flat from one armpit seam to the other. Sleeve is measured from the shoulder seam to the edge of the cuff. Length is measured from the rear seam under the collar to the bottom of the hem.

The fit for these sweaters is based upon William Lockie's pattern for the Japanese market. It's an excellent slim-fit shape, but runs 2 sizes small against our typical Epaulet sizing. As such, the sizing is expressed in "true size" and "tagged size." We advise you to order the TRUE SIZE for a correct fit.

For example, if you take a size Medium in our shirts and a size 38 in our jackets, we recommend that you order "True Size 38 (Tagged Size 42).
