Made in South Central Los Angeles
The Sandy Chestnut Donegal is a mix of 85% wool and 15% nylon -- a signature "outdoorsman" blend for Woolrich which marries the warmth and comfort of wool with increased water, wind, and pilling resistance from its nylon component. The sandy brown base tone is an easy neutral and its accented with flecks of burnt orange and ecru. After 170 years in business, this gorgeous 13oz Donegal tweed hailed from their final production run. This vest a perfect match to all of the jackets, chinos, and trousers that we've already produced in this gorgeous cloth.
Based upon a hunting vest from the 1920's, the Sierra is a minimal item that easily integrates into your casual or slightly formal looks. With our signature dyed corozo nut buttons, this simple unlined design features button-closed hip pockets and an angled breast pocket. It stands well on its own and looks brilliant as a layering piece under the Doyle, a sportcoat, or any overcoat. You can comfortably order your typical Doyle or Sinclair size.
Each Sierra Vest is made by a handful of skilled operators at our Downtown Los Angeles facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, and their proficiency is evident in the clean finishing and consistent stitching on each garment. These are among the finest and most meticulously made garments in the United States.
