We're absolutely thrilled to offer our first collaborate boot with some of the finest shoemakers on Earth! Meticulously crafted in England, we're thrilled to offer the Urban Commando boot in an exclusive shade of genuine African Kudu Antelope hide.
Named "Dragon's Blood," this full-grain leather has a rich medium brown tone with a slight oxblood cast. Kudu hides are ethically sourced in South Africa and they make for a truly exceptional piece of footwear. The thick skin has pronounced natural grain and immense strength. Like deerskin, its supple and comfortable on the first wear. It achieves an exceptional patina with use and requires little upkeep. The look is distinctive, yet still easily matched with any casual or dressy looks in your wardrobe.
With this project, you can choose from three different soles and you may opt for a contrasting suede shaft (with 8 suedes available) for an upcharge of $150. Your boots will be made to your specs and delivered in early March of 2021. Lasted shoe trees are available for an additional $150 as well.
Your boots can be crafted on the thick rubber lug commando sole as sampled, or on Gaziano & Girling's genuine oak bark leather soles. Both the single leather and double leather sole feature their signature beveled waist and closed channel finish. As a Goodyear welted boot, these can be easily resoled multiple times for years and years of faithful service.
This boot sits on the comfortable and rounded "GG06" last. It strikes a wonderful balance of being rounded enough for casual wear, but slim enough to look elegant with dress trousers.
Most customers get a wonderful fit by sizing down 0.5 from their typical US sizing. So if you take a size 9.5 US, we recommend ordering a size 9UK in this item.
